School opening hours and class timings.

The Normal School Day –has staggered starts and ends to the day.
Reception, Years 1 & 2
8.30 to 8.50 a.m.  -   Start of Morning Session 

8.40 - 8.50 a.m. Soft start for all three reception classes(Children should be in class by 8.50 a.m.)
8.30 a.m.  Year 1 Dolphin class

8.40 a.m. - Year 1 - Starfish class / Year 2 - Chameleon & Lemur classes.

8.50 a.m. - Year 1 - Sea Turtle class & Year 2 Jaguar class
11.30 am.     -   End of Morning Session (Reception only) Lunch time
11.50 a.m.     -  End of Morning Session (Year 1 only) Lunch time
12 noon         -  End of Morning Session (Year 2 only) Lunch time
12.30 p.m.     -  Start of Afternoon Session (Reception only)
12.50 p.m.     -  Start of Afternoon Session (Year 1 only)
  1.00 p.m.    -   Start of Afternoon Session (Year 2 only)

End of the school day and collection of pupils:
3.00 p.m. - Year 1 - Dolphin class

3.10 p.m. - Year 1 - Starfish class / Year 2 - Chameleon & Lemur classes

3.20 p.m. - Year 1 - Sea Turtle class/Year 2 - Jaguar class.
 

Total time in a typical school week: 32.5 hours per week 

Nursery
              8.30 a.m.   to   11.30 a.m.  -   Morning Session (15 hours per session)
             12.30 p.m.  to    3.30 p.m.   -   Afternoon Session (15 hours per session)
             

Routines
Nursery children enter and leave school through the Warneford Road gate and Nursery door.


Reception children enter and leave through the Warneford Road main school gate and outside classroom doors. 
Year 1 and Year 2 children enter school through the Moorhouse Road gate. A a one-way system for entering and existing the school will continue from September 2024.

At the end of the day, children in Nursery and Reception should remain in the classroom until collected.  

Pupils in Year 1 & 2 should remain with the teacher at the appropriate door until collected.  Parent/carers and pupils are reminded of these procedures at frequent intervals.

Once the Moorhouse Road school gates are locked promptly by 3.30 p.m. any pupils left uncollected are taken to the school office and parent/carers phoned.   

Any child left at the school and not collected within a reasonable time will result in the school notifying Harrow Children's Services.
